A spokesman for the Interior Ministry on Sunday said that Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, has not managed to grow out of the era when he was employed by Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).

In his reaction to Shah's statement against the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the spokesperson said that associating every matter with the federal minister symbolises 'political bankruptcy.'

He said that certain people can not come out of their perceived reality and mentality. It seems, he said, as if Shah still lives in the era of 1970s when he had worked for KESC.

The spokesperson for the ministry said that the federal minister does not think that Shah's statement are dignified enough to be pondered upon, let alone to respond to it. He asked why certain section of the media takes notice of such baseless and misleading statements.
